Al-Kanabi Conference Center, Sudan Duration: March 15-22, 2025
Weekly Report on the Situation in Al-Kanabi
Subject: Escalation of the Humanitarian and Human Rights War Against the Al-Kanabi People
Over the past week, the Al-Kanabi areas of Al-Jazeera State, central Sudan, witnessed a dangerous escalation in biodiversity loss, particularly targeting defenseless areas. Displacement, ethnic cleansing, arrests, and genocide are currently taking place, based on regional and ethnic identity, amidst a deepening sense of uncertainty and alarm. The humanitarian situation has become catastrophic with the spread of epidemics and financial collapse in the Al-Kanabi areas and agricultural workers’ villages. This report documents the details of recent events, making an urgent appeal to the international community to assume its responsibilities before it is too late.
Systematic Human Rights Preparation for the Al-Kanabi People
South Al-Jazeera Al-Hawsh Administrative Unit
Naseem Village
Security authorities launched a comprehensive security campaign targeting a number of men, including a mosque imam and merchants, under the flimsy pretext of collaborating with the Rapid Support Forces, despite no evidence. The detainees are being held in unknown locations, subjected to torture, and denied any contact with the forces. There are also influences that have been used to entice young people to change their ways from Ningyo and Bal Nubia in the city of Al-Hawsh in the south of the island, based on race and color, and the French foreign-face law.
Greater City State
Life in Wad Madani City
Dozens are being held in inhumane conditions, with clean water and medical care not provided. When cholera struck, some detainees were transferred, forcing some cases to be transferred and resulting in childbirth. The treatment of detainees is being tightened, as they are denied treatment or basic rights. The trial of prisoners in Wad Madani Prison began amidst a heavy secrecy, with trials and executions being imposed, preventing the defendants from defending themselves, a flagrant violation of human rights.
#Complete News North Al-Jazeera
Full Prisons
Except for a small number of Al-Kanabi residents from the Kambo Taiba area in North Al-Jazeera, some of whom have been identified. The full list of detainees remains unknown due to the secrecy of the situation.
Local Industries Unit Habiba Village
Residents were subjected to attacks by Rapid Support Forces and Sudan Shield Forces militias led by Jallam Kikil, resulting in their deaths and the looting of two houses, forcing residents to flee.
Umm Al-Qura Points
Reported deliberate attempts to dig water wells by groups in neighboring villages, which led to a health crisis among residents.
Local 24 Al-Qurashi: In Al-Shabakiya village, friction occurred between the components of the residential complex, with two individuals being killed. This was a result of old problems that were compounded by hateful rhetoric and incitement to hatred, and the forced displacement of some workers.
#Charges
Village 32: Popular Resistance and Sudan Shield Forces are preventing Darfuri groups from returning to their last village, Village 32, which was burned and its apparent wealth looted last year, in defiance of all efforts to prevent it from returning.
Carrier Points
The Managil authorities continue to arrest a number of Al-Kanabi residents based on their color and ethnicity, claiming they are collaborators with the Rapid Support Forces, using the name of displaced persons who fled the horrors of war in North Al-Jazeera. A security tool that arrests and tortures them without any evidence, using the “foreign face” law. The situation in the detention centers is extremely dangerous, and there are confirmed reports of deaths inside the detention centers.
Urgent Demands
To international organizations (Red Cross, United Nations):- Send urgent humanitarian aid, including food, medicine, and shelter, to the displaced.
- For the first time, a call for the release of detainees, through their exploitation of international laws.
- Opening promising investigations into the crimes committed against the Kanabi people in Afghanistan, especially ethnic cleansing.
To the Sudanese government and local authorities: Conduct clear investigations into the burning, poisoning, and arbitrary arrests. - Provide protection for civilians, followed by the safe return of displaced persons to their areas.
- Account for their weapons in civilian prisons, and end their actions against convicted persons.
To the international community: - Officially impose a census of samples of weapons, including blood, on ethnic practice policies.
- Support initiatives that document the arrow, and publish human rights reports on international platforms.
Crime stories and locations
Villages only: Includes Habiba village, Mabrouka village, Al-Wahida village, Village 32, Camp Taiba in northern Al-Jazeera, Abu Ushar city, Al-Hosh city, and Al-Mutawal city prisons. Displacement and looting operations in other areas are also reported.
What the Canabi regions are currently witnessing is part of the Chevrolet organization’s efforts to highlight the depopulation of indigenous population centers. We do not ignore the deliberate targeting of population centers. The Canabi Conference renews its call to all international courts to urgently intervene to protect the Canabi agricultural workers from crimes and violations committed by the organization. Certainly, what is being committed will not be erased from the memory of history and will remain a testament to the extent of the injustice suffered by the Canabi people.
