To the Secretary-General of the United Nations To the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO). To the heads and directors of United Nations agencies and humanitarian, international, regional and local organizations To the international community and all humanitarian partners May God’s peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you The General Authority for Humanitarian Action and the organizations in the liberated territories it controls address youIt has the Sudan Liberation Movement/Army, led by Professor Abdel Wahid Mohamed Ahmed Al Nour An urgent distress call that carries with it the lives of thousands of innocent civilians under humanitarian and health conditions of great complexity and danger. We inform you that the liberated lands are currently witnessing an accelerating and dangerous outbreak of the monkeypox disease Mpox, as our medical teams in the liberated lands recorded a worrying increase in the number of infected people daily, amid an almost complete deficit in the health system as a result of years of conflict, siege, and lack of resources. We sound the alarm, as the current reality exceeds our local capacity, and we warn…This outbreak will turn into a comprehensive humanitarian and health disaster that may get out of control and cast a shadow over the entire region if immediate intervention is not taken. The absence of vaccines, the severe shortage of medicines, basic medical supplies, and personal protective equipment for medical personnel, in addition to the weakness of isolation and diagnostic centers, makes confronting this epidemic an unequal battle, the price of which is paid by defenseless civilians, especially children, women, and the elderly. Based on the above and based on our humanitarian responsibility We call on you to intervene urgently and take immediate action 1/ Providing vaccines and medicines .Sending urgent shipments of monkeypox vaccines and accompanying treatments on an emergency basis 2/Logistic and medical support: Providing medical facilities with rapid examination and diagnosis equipment and protective tools for medical personnel on the front lines. 3/ Establishing and supporting isolation centers, financing and establishing isolation centers equipped to contain the infected and limit the spread of medications. 4/ Providing clean water and hygiene supplies, and supporting environmental sanitation and public hygiene projects within the camps for the displaced and the residential complexes most at risk. Time is not on our side, and every hour passes without a responseMore lives will be lost and the epidemic will expand We appeal to you for your humanitarian conscience and international commitment to stand with the most vulnerable groups in these critical moments. We at the General Authority for Humanitarian Action are fully prepared to coordinate and facilitate the arrival of all aid and medical teams to ensure that support is delivered to those who deserve it immediately. For urgent response and coordination, you can contact us through official channels attached, You have our utmost respect and appreciation Brought to you Abdullah Hassan Emergency official The General Authority for Humanitarian Work and Organizations Emailabdallajaba25@gmail.com WhatsApp 00249912719706 May 24, 2026 AD
