Subject: Urgent Humanitarian Appeal

The Sudan Liberation Movement/Army chaired by the founder Mr. Abdel Wahid Mohamed Ahmed Al-Nour, has been closely monitor ing and following the humanitarian catastrophic situation of displaced people both before and since the outbreak of war on April 15, 2023. Our liberated territories became save heaven for huge waves of people fleeing violence from across Sudan. This has placed a heavy humanitarian need beyond our capacity and hosted communities to provide life-saving assistance, security, and protection of civilians, in line with humanitarian and moral duty and responsibility based on the principles of international humanitarian law.

To respond to this crisis, we have issued several appeals to the international community, including the United Nations, its agencies, and other regional and international organizations. Sadly, only about 35% of the urgent humanitarian aid needed by these displaced families has actually reached them.

On July 21,2025, cholera cases were confirmed in the camps for the displaced, and the disease is spreading rapidly due to severe overcrowding, lack of clean water, medicine, and essential healthcare. In the Tawila camps alone, the latest figures show more than 1,543 people have been infected, and tragically, 154 have died.
In the Golo camps, there have been 23 confirmed cases, with 7 deaths so far.

Given the ongoing displacement, poor infrastructure in the camps, and the limited presence of health organizations and medical supplies, we fear the situation could worsen quickly, leading to a large-scale humanitarian disaster affecting both the displaced and hosted communities and alike

We once again issue this urgent humanitarian appeal, calling on the international community to live up to its legal and moral responsibility to protect unarmed civilians.

We also officially declare that the liberated territories under the control of the Sudan Liberation Movement/Army are now disaster-stricken humanitarian zones. We call upon the United Nations and the wider international community to intervene immediately to help save the lives of over 7 million people who are enduring extremely harsh and life-threatening conditions.
