Press Release:The Sixth Diplomatic Engagement of the Chairman of the Sudan Liberation Movement and His accompanying Delegation on European Tour

As part of the sixth diplomatic engagement on the current European tour duly undertaken by comrade, Abdul Wahid Mohammed Ahmed Al Nour, chairman of the Sudan Liberation Movement, accompanied by distinguished delegation from the movement’s leadership, the delegation arrived in the French capital, Paris, on 23 November 2025, as previously stated during this mission. The team held a number of consequential and constructive discussions with senior officials of the government and representatives of key civil institutions.
The deliberations,- which commenced with a meeting at Medecins Sans Frontiers (MSF) on 26 November and subsequently followed by high- level consultations at the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs on 27 November, tackled the following principal matters:
 A comprehensive and articulated briefing on the historical root causes of the Sudanese crisis tracing its evolution into the ongoing war and the political instability that has persisted since 1955.
 An in-depth review of the grave humanitarian situation engulfing Sudan- particularly in Darfur, Kordofan , White Nile and Blue Nile regions, encountering imminent threat of severe famine, due to relief and humanitarian denial which imposed by the warring parties and instrumentalization of humanitarian aid as a tool of war. The delegation underscored the urgent necessity of robust regional and international intervention, and to exercise all forms of political and diplomatic pressure on the parties to the conflict, to allow unfettered delivery of relief and humanitarian assistance through all corridors and crossings.
 A detailed account of the alarming deterioration of public services, including the collapse national infrastructure, severe economic decline, soaring unemployment and profound educational disruption that has deprived millions of Sudanese school-going children and students for nearly three years.
 Reaffirmation of the Movement’s principled stance regarding the ongoing 15th of April conflict, which – ignited by the extremist Islamic movement- and its position of strict neutrality with respect to all parties involved.
 Presentation of the movement’s proactive initiatives since 2019, including its proposal to address the humanitarian situation in El -Fashir prior to the outbreak of fighting in the city, as well as its unwavering commitment for the establishment of an inclusive, civilian- led national front, aimed at halting and ultimately ending the War. This pioneering initiative seeks to bring Sudanese from all walks of life, except the National Congress Party (NCP) and its affiliates, as well as any actors who voluntarily choose not to participate.
 Reaffirmation of the movement’s steadfast endorsement of all regional and international efforts aimed at achieving swift resolution to the war in Sudan, including the initiative undertaken by the International Quartet (QUAD) as well as the recent statements issued by the U.S President Donald Trump.
 A resolute appeal for sustained and intensified pressure on all parties to the conflict and their prompt acceptance of an immediate, comprehensive and internationally monitored ceasefire. This call encompasses the Sudanese Armed Forces, the Rapid Support Forces, and all Revolutionary Armed Movements
The government of the French Republic, together with its civil institutions, conveyed their sincere appreciation and profound admiration for the movement’s vision, perspectives and forward-n looking proposals. They emphasized their unanimous support and pledged to deploy every earnest effort – through their roles within the European Union and the United Nations Security Council – to stand with the Sudanese people, their just cause, and their tireless endeavors to end the war and to realize freedom, dignity, and a peaceful, civilian – led transition.
Furthermore, French authorities reaffirmed the steadfast commitment of the French Republic to supporting the Sudanese people in their pursuit of genuine democratic, civilian- led governance, as embodied in the aspirations and slogans of the glorious December people’s revolution.
