Press Statement Regarding the Sudan Liberation Movement/Army’s apology to participate in the preparatory meeting for inter- Sudanese political dialogue organized by the African Union

The Sudan Liberation Movement/Army had initially welcomed the invitation which was received from the African Union to participate in the preparatory meeting for inter- Sudanese political dialogue organized in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa from 10th – 15th of July 2024; thus the movement duly issued its statement to that effect on 5th of July. However; the movement kindly requested several times from the African Union to provide it with the list of participants to the meeting, prior to sending its delegation to Addis Ababa, on the ground that; the movement has unwavering and principled position that, it will not sit with the deposed National Congress Party (NCP) and its facades for any reason whatsoever, therefore; the Sudan Liberation Movement/Army apologies for participating in this conference.
