Sudan Liberation Movement Delegation Holds Talks with Geneva Call
As part of its persistent engagement with the international community and international humanitarian organizations aimed at exploring ways to bring an end to the ongoing war and augment the delivery of emergency humanitarian relief and assistance to the war –affected victims across Sudan, a high- level delegation from the Sudan Liberation Movement met representatives from Geneva Call international organization in Nairobi, Kenya between 5 and 6 March 2026.
The productive discussions addressed a number of fundamental issues, most notably:
1- The rapidly deteriorating humanitarian situation in Sudan and the dire need for increasing the emergency humanitarian aid and assistance in order to save lives, in this regard, the meetings emphasized the necessity of compelling all parties to the conflict, to unconditionally allow humanitarian access by opening all roads and corridors and strictly refrain from using humanitarian aid as a weapon of war.
2- Harnessing skills and dress the gaps and challenges of implementing the International Humanitarian Law (IHL), so that humanitarian relief organizations deliver food and services to the affected populations in efficient manner, and encourage other armed actors to adhere to International Humanitarian Law.
3- The Movement’s supportive position to Quad’s initiative and its ongoing endeavors of humanitarian truce
4- The Movement’s vision for ending the war in Sudan, which include the formation of the broadest possible civilian-led front that encompass everybody, except the National Congress Party ( NCP) and its affiliated facades or any political actor who willingly refuse to participate . This proactive vision aims to pave the way for an inclusive Sudanese- Sudanese dialogue, that will address the historical root causes of the conflict and to establish a state founded on equal citizenship. It further envisages and calls for restructuring of all state institutions on a new national bases and the establishment of a single national army with national military doctrine.
