Urgent Press Release on the Arrival of the chairman of the Civil Authority in the Liberated Territories to the Tarsin Village
Mr. Mujeeb Al-Rahman Al-Zubair, the chairman of the Civil Authority in the Liberated Territories, arrived in the stricken area of Tarsin and observed the scale of the disaster and the enormity of the devastation caused by the landslide. He stated that the death toll exceeds what was stated in the initial report. Some of the village’s survivors confirmed the statement made by the Head of the Civil Authority in the Liberated Territories, calling on the international community, the United Nations, and regional and international organizations to urgently intervene to provide relief to these victims, who lost everything and now they sleeping on the ground.
They are in dire need of food, medicine, and shelter.
A video statement from the Chairman of the Civil Authority in the Liberated Territories and some eyewitnesses from the area’s residents who survived the disaster and from neighboring villages who responded to the call for aid as soon as they received information about the disaster.
