Statement from the Sudan Liberation Movement / Army on the coup attempt in Khartoum

Local and foreign media covered the news of the coup attempt to overthrow the existing Sudanese government on Tuesday morning
Corresponding to September 21, 2021 AD, and accordingly, the Sudan Liberation Movement / Army confirms the following:
Absolute and principled rejection of the approach of military coups, whether real coups or plays to serve specific scenarios and agenda.
The movement has been hesitating since the first day of the overthrow of the dictator on April 11, 2019 that all components of the revolution must agree on a civilian government of independent personalities to be announced from inside the sit-in square at the General Command.
The existing government has proven its failure and inability to achieve the goals of the revolution, and its parties have been preoccupied with the quota conflict instead of addressing the issues of people’s pension and unemployment and stopping the terrible economic deterioration, outrageous prices and security chaos throughout the country and its breadth.
Sudan is now living in an unprecedented tragic situation, and it is open to all possibilities in light of the security liquidity and the absence of authority, and all the efforts of the government and its political and military incubators have failed to achieve a just, comprehensive and sustainable peace, in terms of following the approach of the former regime based on quotas and addressing issues of persons and organizations, not issues. home and citizen.
There is no way out in Sudan from this dark tunnel except by national consensus through a Sudanese-Sudanese dialogue that includes all Sudanese, headed by the Kandakat, the Shafata, the riding generation, resistance committees, civil society organizations, political forces, armed struggle movements, military institutions, civil administrations, religious leaders, displaced persons, refugees, shepherds, farmers, universities, higher institutes, academics and writers. thinkers, writers, poets, artists, and all components of Sudan except for the former regime and its facades, in order to address the roots of the historical crisis and to agree on a civilian transitional government of independent personalities to implement the goals and slogans of the glorious December revolution.
